Spring Cassette
This spring cassette sits within the base of the door handle backplate providing a sprung solution to return your multipoint lock handles to their rest position after using. In the past, a lot of these types of handle didn't have a spring built into them and without this they tend to droop or drop when the locking mechanism is disengaged. This component is the best solution to solve this issue. It also stops your door from getting stuck in the closed or open position as they are difficult to close manually.
These spring cassettes have been specifically designed for use with sprung multipoint locks, they will not fit unsprung multipoint handles and you will require a custom hole cut into the backplate to allow them to fit (please check the image for a technical diagram). These cassettes can be used as a replacement to damaged or missing cassettes that are in the backplate of uPVC door handles. They have a square cut out which can accommodate an 8mm spindle, and they are supplied individually.
